Gxrlschool was founded in 2016 by Anna Bulbrook as a music and ideas festival centering exceptional women-identified talent, and has grown to encompass a community cultural production practice and a creative agency under the same name.

Gxrlschool has spearheaded local movements, created pop culture moments that have trended on Twitter, and established a unique place as interdisciplinary cultural creators in Los Angeles with a signature curatorial voice.

Gxrlschool has collaborated with major brands, top arts institutions, public agencies, community organizations, and artists from different disciplines, realms, and approaches, to deliver meaning through popular culture and interdisciplinary programming. Gxrlschool’s festival has been called a “vision for the way forward” by The Los Angeles Times.
